As part of a large-scale rebrand, the UK's leading click and collect service provider Doddle tasked me with the design of a full set of icons and illustrations to be used online and in-store. Keeping a friendly and personable look and feel was key to ensuring customers remain engaged with the brand and retain its core values, with a more upmarket look and feel rolled out to reflect the growth of the company across new markets (USA, Australia).
As part of the development of its customer services, Doddle developed a chatbot to answer customer requests and ease the returns and communications process, thereby improving response time and customer satisfaction. The task was to create a friendly character representing the brand that could be used across a variety of platforms and stand the test of time. Answering to the name 'Doddlebot', I was asked to design the character and its application across all online platforms - Messenger, Facebook, WhatsApp and the like - and develop it as a key figure in Doddle customer communications.
